Sarawak,Malaysia;Tuesday.
The Meteorological Department of Malaysia issued forecasts about worsening weather for another week. Although flood waters receded in some areas but mostly, it is holding.
With incessant rain and winds blasting many areas, aid workers in both regions of the country found it very hard to issue food supllies to badly hit shelters.
It is here that the Malaysian Air Force came to the rescue. They loaded up a C130H transport aircraft and flew it to those affected regions. Most of these badly hit areas are in the state of Pahang.
With members of the Armed Forces ready on the ground most of the ares are covered. The supplies are packed into one tonne container and were air-dropped from a height of about 650 feet
However there are talks of sending the planes to the State of Sarawak whose interiors are also hit. The hilly terrain in the State counted out the use of helicopters.
