MNA announced developmental schemes at Chitral.
CHITRAL: Member National Assembly and Former Federal Minister Shahzada Muhayuddin announced of net work of developmental schemes at Chitral. He said that being an MNA I have approved 70 million rupees for different developmental projects including road, bridges, schools, irrigation and water channel. He said while addressing a large number of public gathering at PIA square that Lawari Rail tunnel will be complete in stipulated period of time and it will bring great revolution in development of Chitral. He lamented district Nazim of Chital and other politicians fro false and baseless allegations charging over him regarding not allowing of Chitral people to travel inside the Lawari tunnel. He said actually the high ups of National Highway Authority and Sambu Korean Company died to allow any movement inside the tunnel because the ongoing work is badly suffering and they could not be complete it in stipulated period of time. He also warned Pesh Imam of Bazar Mosque who is also assistant Qazi at Chitral court to avoid from any politics otherwise he will submit complaint to Chief Justice of Pakistan. He said that Lawari rail tunnel was started by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and was completed by Parvez Musharaf. He said condemn district Nazim for telling lie to nation in radio Chitral that he travel inside of the tunnel on the occasion of inauguration of phase one of the tunnel but he was not allowed to travel inside the tunnel because of having no contribution for the tunnel. He also announced of his full support for imposing Sharia in Malakand Division and Chitral. He said problem of electricity would be solved on emergency basis as he contacting Chairman Wapda to detail an expert Engineer or Survey and to analyze that either up-gradation of local hydro power station is possible in present scenario or not. A large number of people participated his public meeting despite cold weather.
Focus Humanitarian Assistant started rescue operation to recover 4 dead bodies.
A Helicopter of Focus Humanitarian Assistance working under auspices of Aga Khan Development Net Work shifted 5 volunteers for rescue operation to Yarkhun Lusht in is first sortie where four persons have been trapped under a heavy avalanche. These rescue search teams were shifted there to recover dead bodies of these persons stranded in ice burg and glacier since Saturday. Commandant Chitral Scouts Col Suhail Iqbal, District Nazim Chitral and Chief Executive of Focus were also present at Chitral airport. District Nazim presented Chitrali cloak and gift to Chief executive officer of Focus and thanked them for their cooperation. On this occasion Chief Executive of Focus said that a special trained team of Switzerland would be detailed as red alert to encounter such disaster in future to recover injured persons under the avalanche. He said that first 12 hours are considering golden hours as there is maximum chance to recover any injure live from avalanche but after that the chance is loosing.
