Football, Hooligans’ Favorite Sport

Soccer or football, the gun and run and kick-your-ball-to-score sort of sport is considered as the most popular sport in the world as people in the know said so. True or not, millions of soccer (American) or football (European and other countries) fans are always ready to die for their favorite teams and idols. Idols…? Yes, Thailand has their own David Beckham statue created with imposing character for Thais to idolize.

Alright, soccer or is it called football, is the sport that makes the world crazy. Football fanatics become crazy every time their team is up against another team. The crowds are full of excitements, loud shouts reverberate into the sky, wild stomping almost shake the stadium and the noise is deafening and to some point, eardrum busting.

The din is persistent and contagious which affects the crowds’ mental faculties that command the human instinct (adrenaline) to do more which eventually becomes an outburst of hooliganism. And as it heats up, the crazy and rowdy crowds also called hooligans starts to make troubles by hitting each other, throwing, destroying and burning the stadium while others caught up with police in pitch battle: Crazy indeed.

Soccer or football is great and exciting to watch, but boring and annoying when hooligans spoil the game. Unlike basketball, soccer or football does not go for height, but speed, agility, stamina and the ability to kick the ball with finesse. Although football is the favorite sport of the hooligans, they shouldn’t use the game for their troublesome wit.
