For any woman in her shoes, being Nita Ambani can be a lot to deal with. From being a mother to three, a supportive wife to one of India’s leading businessmen Mukesh Ambani, a passionate humanitarian, a connoisseur of education, a fine arts disciple, owner of IPL franchise Mumbai Indians and head of Reliance Foundation. These are only but a few things that represent who Nita Ambani is. Beyond these rather definitive adjectives, Nita Ambani is a woman who has been able to make it own her own, create an identity separate from her namesake, yet true to the standing, value and trust associated with being an Ambani.
For years Nita Ambani has been playing the front field when it comes to leading social development causes. A patron entrepreneur, Nita has always found herself socially inclined, and wanting to do something to improve the way of things and give back to the society, Nita Ambani has been able to leverage her standing to cater to the society as well as its various communities. One cause most dear to her is that of promoting education for all. She has been works rigorously with various organizations to promote the cause that seeks to help underprivileged children gain equal access to education. An educationist herself, Nita has been associated with the field for more than 20 years, and now that she chairs the prestigious Dhirubhai Ambani International School, she has become more intertwined with the cause of making provisions for holistic education opportunities for all children.
Nita Ambani has also lent her support towards making provisions for health care facilities across India. She chairs the Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation, which is a non-profit organization devoted primarily to promoting education and health care services for the deprived and under privileged in India. As a part of this entitlement, she led the cause of making accessible a fair share of representation to the physically challenged in call centres and associated facilities in the Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City, Navi Mumbai.
