Kashmira Vahini in a statement said that if culprits of Gujrat violence in 2002 can be put behind the bars and some are facing the life imprisonment under Modi led Gujrat State Govt, why shouldn’t be the culprits of genocide and exodus of KPs be brought to the book.
Members also made an appeal to the Union Govt not to encourage scores of self style leaders sponsored by the Relief Organisation to assume the role of creating confusion at the upcoming meeting of KP leaders with the union Home Minister and defense Minister at New Delhi.
Kashmira Vahini demanded a much awaited geo- political dispensation under which all 7 lac Kashmiri Pandits are rehabilitated in a single and separate Homeland with Union Territory status in Kashmir and appealed to the community to remain united and watchful particularly at this juncture of our history.
Members warned the vested interests of dire consequences at the hands of suffering community members if they try to speak in different voices to derail the whole process.
Kashmira Vahini also urged the Govt of India not to ignore the genuine representatives of KP women folk who suffered the most and contributed immensely in the struggle of the exiled community at all levels. It would ammount to gross gender bias of the GOI if leaders of prominent KP women organizations are not invited in the upcoming meeting of KP representatives with the Govt.
