On Tuesday Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi of Italy announced that he was resigning in protest against the Italian government`s decision taken last week to send back two marines to India to face trial for murder of two fishermen.
Giulio Terzi said during testimony to the lower house of parliament. "I can no longer be part of this government and I announce my resignation," My reservations about sending the marines back to India were not listened to."
On Friday Mario Monti‘s caretaker government move away from their decision taken on 11th of March not to send two marines back to India to face trial for the murder of two Indian fishermen. The two were shot dead in February 2012 by two Italian marines during anti-piracy duty on a commercial tanker.
