Dharamsala is secluded hill resort
From Nagarpu we travel straight eastwards to Dharamsala via Kotla. Dharamsala is secluded hill resort perched on an outer spur of the Dhauldhar range. The town consists of a lower and an upper Dharamsala, its altitude varying between 1000 and 2000 meters. Three sides of the town are enclosed by mountains, while a fertile valley stretches to its south. In the upper Dharamsala is the residence of his Holiness, the Dalai Lama.
About 11 km from Dharamsala is the picturesque
Triundlies at the foot of the perpetually snow clad Dhauladh ar range. We have to tread the last 5 km over a snow covered path before we reach it. This lovely spot affords an enchanting view of Dhauladhar and the emerald valley below. There is a forest rest-house here.
