Money Magazine has published its annual "Best Places to Live" feature and ranks their 100 best places to live based on a combination of factors including living expenses, job opportunities, public schools, cultural activities and more.
Making into the top five this year is Franklin Township, NJ. This town of slightly over 51,000 residents was lauded for its primeval old-growth forest and numerous pharmaceutical and high-tech jobs.
Franklin Township, NJ is about one hour from Manhattan and even closer to Princeton and Rutgers Universities. Although the steep housing and income taxes are detractors, Money Magazine has unveiled a hidden gem in Franklin Township, NJ.
Rounding out the top five were Plymouth, MN in the top spot, followed by Fort Collins, CO in second, Naperville, Il in third and Irvine, CA in fourth.
