Free Medical Camp by Ex- Serviceman association

527 Patients examined in Free Medical Camp arranged by Ex- Serviceman association.

CHITRAL:  To examine and provide free medicines to families of retired and martyred personals of Armed forces (Pak Army, Navy, PAF)  a free medical camp was held at Chitral Scouts Mastuj  Post some 150 KM from here in upper Chitra. The free medical camp was arranged by Ex- Serviceman association in collaboration with Pak Army and Chitra scouts.

A function was also held at Chitral Scouts (CS) post Mastuj.  Addressing to the ceremony  President Ex- Serviceman association Chitral Col retired Sardar Miuhammad Khan  thanked General officer commander (GOC) of 107 Division Malakand Major General Javed Bukhari who provide free medicines for this  free medical camp, Chitra Scouts and Govt. Health Department for detailing their doctors..

Besides him commander 146 wing of CS Lt Col Sarfaraz Awan said that Pak Army always help and support the people either in natural disaster rescue work or  treatment of patients in remote localities of the country.

Medical Specialist of Chitral Scouts Major Imtiaz Ali,  Senior Medical officer of DHQ Hospital Chitral Dr. Rahmat Aman, Dr Bashir Ali Khan of THQ Hospital Booni, Homeopathic Dr. Amanullah Khan and Nursing staff of Chitral scouts and retired  Pak Army participated in free medical camp.

Some 527 patients were examined in free medical camp and they were also provided free medicines worth more than 2 Lacs. A large number of women folk approach the camp.

Talking to this scribe families of retired and martyred soldiers said that Chitral is a big district by virtue of land with a  very scattered population. There is no Combined Military Hospital (CMH) or Fouji Foundation hospital in Chitral. Outdoor patients are compelled to travel  CMH Peshawar where they get medicines of a few rupees but they spend  more than 10000 on their travelling.

They demanded from Prime Minster, President of Pakistan  and Chief of Army staff as well as Federal Minister of Defence for establishment of CMH or Fouji Foundation Hospital at Chitral to facilitate families of retired and martyred personals of armed forces or approve outdoor medical allowances in their monthly pension.

A large number of civilian also benefited from free medical camp as well as hundred of retired soldiers were given free Homeopathic medicines for their family members who cannot approach this medical camp.

Residents of the area thanked Ex-Serviceman association and Pak Army for organizing this   free medical camp in this remote area.
