The Obama administration has openly boasted about the fact it is giving the Syrian opposition forces logistical and communications technology. Technology, which experts say “allows them to better coordinate terrorist attacks and assaults.”
The U.S. likes to call this “non-lethal” aid but it is anything but that, when you really think about it. What exactly are we talking about here?
Non lethal aid could mean a variety of things, said one military expert, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Things like “night vision goggles, sniper scopes, infra red, satellite cell phones w/GPS (which can be used to call in air strikes), lasers (which can be used to paint targets… could be construed as non lethal aid”, he said.
Such devices help facilitate the killing, in many cases.
Syria ’s United Nation’s envoy Bashar Ja’afari, in recent statements before the U.N. General Assembly debate on counter-terrorism helped us put this into perspective:
“Terrorists have been using information and communication technologies (provided by other countries and the United States) in attacks against the Syrian people”, he said.
“Some of these organized terrorist acts bear the fingerprints of the al Qaeda organization and its ideology in terms of killing, dismemberment and mutilation of bodies and the killing of entire families on a sectarian basis,” Ja’afari explained.
Interestingly enough U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon seemed to confirm that when he said he “believed al Qaeda was responsible for at least two suicide car bombs in Damascus in May that killed at least 55 people, mostly civilians.”
If there was any doubt al-Qaeda confirmed it is conducting suicide attacks in Syria. We found dozens of videos where they claim to have conducted attacks. For example, see video: Syria- Al Qaida Terrorists upload the video of the Twin Suicide Bombs in Damascus. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i79JuMoP9U8
In another case, a suicide bomber complains that his sisters are being screwed and proudly shows his load of black explosive containers to the camera. These are the two suicide bombers who killed at least 27 and injured over 140 attacked densely populated Damascus suburbs on March 17th 2012 (see shocking video: Official Al-Qaeda Video Of Twin Suicide Bombers And Their Explosions, Syria (27+ dead) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFWI7mzSF74
More than 10,000 people have been killed in the conflict, according to the United Nations. Other reports suggest that is the figure the U.N quoted is a rather “conservative estimate”, that the actual number is probably much higher.
The White House on Friday, June 29, 2012, refused to answer questions regarding its support of Syria terrorists.
When asked: “Why are you providing al-Qaeda fighters in Syria with communications technology”, a White House representative hung up on me?
So much for trying to get a straight answer in this matter.
