Who doesn’t like Jello for dessert, and who doesn’t enjoy fresh fruit and berries?
One day I decided to combine the two together to create a fresh fruit salad in Lime Jello dessert.
I wanted to experience the experience of having the two together and this is the recipe I came up with.
Of course to make it and call it my own I had to add a few things but I believe you will see what I mean, and I know you will enjoy it tremendously.
INGREDIENTS
3 3oz. Packages of Lime Jello
2 or 3 Bananas ( peeled and thinly sliced into pieces)
20 Green Grapes ( seedless and halved)
20 Black Berries
20 Raspberries
2 Green Apples (peeled and sliced)
6-7 Cups Boiling Water
24-30 Colored Baby Marshmallows
2 Cups Ginger Ale ( Refrigerated Cold )
2 Table-Spoons of Fresh Lime Juice
2 Cups of fresh Whipped Cream or, packaged “Cool Whip”
1 Bundt Pan
Preparations:
Combine your Jello and Boiling Water and Lime Juice into a mixing bowl and stir thoroughly until Jello mixture is dissolved. Pour your Jello Mixture into your Bundt Pan and Let this mixture sit to cool in your fridge ( 1 Hour).
Peel your Bananas and slice them and do the same for your Green Apples, and rinse your Green Grapes and Berries
After 1 hour of cooling stir in your 2 Cups of cold Ginger Ale. This adds an effervescence and bubbliness to your Jello and also adds to the taste and texture in this dessert.
Refridgerate again for about 1 hour until the Jello has almost begun to set.
After about 1 hour as your Jello mixture is beginning to set up Gently fold in your fruits and whipped cream and put you dessert back into the fridge to set up fully.
After about 3 hours Your Fruit Salad in Jello should be set and ready for serving.
Carefully warm the bottom of your Bundt Pan in warm water for about 10 seconds.
Invert your Bundt Pan with your serving dish.
Refrigerate until you are ready to serve.
Serve with a dolop of whipped cream.
Each mouthful is a different taste experience as no two spoonfuls will have the same fruits or berries.
