I have played and completed FF VII Crisis Core, a game produced by Square Enix that can only be played on PSP (Sony Playstation Portable).
After playing this game, I began to understand how in the world Cloud had joined SOILDER and his background. This game’s main cast is Zack Fair who begins the game as a Shinra SOILDER second class.
Aerith is actually Zack’s girlfriend as Crisis Core brought me back into time after my gaming experience of the original FF VII on Sony Playstation when I have no slightest idea where did this Aerith, the last Ancient came from. In FF VII, Cloud met Aerith and they soon becomes a party in the beginning of the game.
The sad part of FF VII is when Aerith died and in Crisis Core, Zack died in the end after facing with endless Shinra Infantry armies. I spend hours trying to kill all of them, but I guess the ending is fixed that Zack is not going to make it. The Buster Sword was handed over from Angeal to Zack and in the end of Crisis Core, Zack passed the Buster Sword to Cloud. Before Zack goes, his dreams and his honour is passed on to Cloud.
Sometimes it is really very sad to see the good guys go in games. But this case, Crisis Core is a prequel to FF VII about say 10 years ago. I completed that game as well, it was really good gaming experience then.
I have noticed from Forums on the Internet talking about a potential FF VII remake. Square Enix had mentioned that there is no plans on doing that but it is not impossible or somthing along that line. Till then, I really like FF VII series, the characters, background, storyline and setting are crafted with so vivid details that it almost brings you into the game.
