Baguio City – In a span of just two weeks this month of October, gangs and fraternities, whose styles are nothing but junkies prowling like beasts around the city, again strikes with impunity. A group of young men which is composed of die hard follower of “Jack the Ripper” the British folklore, almost killed a taxi driver when he fought back the attempted robbery hold-up committed by these recidivists. The following day, members of other gangs, also mauled another taxi driver ala Pacman and Tyson combined. The helpless driver suffered bruises all over his body.
In one incident, and to the surprise of the authorities, a group of gangsters threw a hand grenade inside the internet café where students, mostly young men are having their computer session. The victims suffered multiple injuries to their bodies but miraculously nobody died. These kinds of people are ready to kill and be killed. Actions from the authorities are almost nil, nada, nothing so to speak. The atrocities these people commits are repugnant to the point that their parents are not concerned at all. I can not help but blame the kind of breeding these people was brought. The civility in them almost gone to the dogs. The city of Baguio needs to address the problem before it’s too late.
