Gaza ground assault launched by Israel

Gaza: After the failure of a weeklong air raids, Today Israel’s tanks and infantry moved into Gaza strip and a ground offensive has been launched against the Hamas and there have been reports of the Israeli troops battling with the Hamas fighters.

Some ten thousand Israeli troops are moving in to Gaza, thus far, 445 killed in Gaza and 4 in Israel and it is the eighth day of the Israel’s offensive of Gaza.

Israeli army spokesman confirmed that some 35 Israeli troops were injured in the ground offensive; on the other hand, there are reports of Hamas capturing 2 Israeli troops.

A very disappointing and amateur approach is seen from the world leaders over the conflict, neither the UN Security Council is fulfilling its responsibilities nor US and it seems that UN, US and the West have been held hostages by the Zionist state.

Iranian Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani, termed the present situation of Gaza ironic, Genocide of the Palestinians and the attitude of the world leaders irresponsible and said that “the Zionists faced the powerful resistance of the zealous Palestinians in past and Gaza could become the graveyard of Israelis.

There have been rallies all over the world against the Gaza assault and there could be seen a visible gulf between the Public opinion and the leadership of the countries like US, UK and rest of the world, where the masses are on the road and the leadership is singing a different tune.
