Baramulla,June 18,(Scoop News)_ Vice President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, Former Minister and Member AICC Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil today said that unemployed educated youth are today facing a life threatening situation as they have become soft targets for exploiters who have always put in place their nefarious designs to ensure that peace, prosperity and development of the state gets derailed. He said that if Government fails to recognize the present alarming scenario, the days are not too far when situation in the state will turn ugly and beyond control. He impressed upon the Government to launch without any delay comprehensive employment package so that energy of the youth could be channelized in a right direction. Mr. Vakil was addressing Youth Congress Convention at Baramulla today.
Mr. Vakil said that on the analogy of UPA regime present BJP led Central Government must provide every type of assistance to J&K Government to tackle the situation that has arisen due to unemployment so that restlessness and anxiety of youth could contained. Former Minister said that enhancing the entry age limit is not a solution to eradicate the unemployment because a young educated person cannot roam on roads till forty years of age.
While addressing the gathering Vakil appealed youth to get united and announce war against corruption which has become a menace in the society that is ruining the whole system and eliminating the levels of transparency. He said that it is the duty of youth to bring awareness among people about corrupt politicians and their practices. Mr. Vakil also stressed upon youth to ensure complete rejection of exploiters, corrupt and dishonest persons in forthcoming assembly elections. He said that tainted and corrupt politicians must not be afforded another opportunity to loot the state exchequer. Mr. Vakil also appealed Congress high command not to field such candidates in any future elections whose credentials are labeled as corrupt and tainted because of pending corruption cases in various Courts and Commissions. He said that such elements must not be allowed to hold any post in the government or the party.
Mr. Vakil appealed youth to come forward and vote in large numbers in coming assembly elections and make all efforts to fail designs of those leaders who are propagating election boycott in the elections because election boycott only encourage corrupt people to come at the help of affairs which is neither in the interest of the state nor in the interest of Country.
Besides others who addressed the gathering include Sr. Congress Leaders Ghulam Nabi Shah, Haji Mohammad Afzal Khan, Pandit Brij Nath Nehru, Javed Ahmad Masoodi, Sr. Youth Congress Leaders Qaiser Sultan, Mohammad Rafiq Wani, Tariq Ahmad Mir and Manzoor Ahmad Shiekh.
