Ghost cause havoc in the village
A ghost is on the loose in Central Malawi and has already killed one person and injured dozens.
The villagers say the ghost has been attacking them during the night and have now been resorting to sleeping in groups.
A village headman who pleaded for anonymity said the ghost started troubling people after one person in the village died.
He said since then the people in the village have been living in fear.
The villagers have now no hope of destroying the ghost.
However , government officials alleged that it may be a rabed hyena.
The government official said when people in the village do not have no explanation they resort to superstition.
The villagers still insist it is not a hyena but a ghost saying government officials are just guessing because they have not seen the beast.
However a Pastor of a local church said in an interview if it is a ghost he can just pray and the ghost will go for good.
