CHITRAL: Chitral College of Education and Decent college for Girls Balach Chitral was gutted last night. As a result some 15 rooms of the college including furniture, computer, Photostat machine etc totally burnt and converted in ashes. Good worth of million of rupees were totally damaged in the fire. Principal of the college Sardar Ahmad Khan told this scribe that some 500 students are enrolled here. There are two shifted in morning shift girls students are reading and in evening shift boys students come here. He said that the college is affiliated with Malakand University and was top holder in the district. Students attending FA/F.Sc, BA/B.Sc, B.Ed, and M.Ed classes in the college. Sardar Ahmad Khan said that the college was affiliated with Malakand University Chakdra and was registered under Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) government of Khyber Pakhtonhwa as well was registered with Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar. Principal of this private college said that students of this college is topping in the district every year. He said that reasons behind this incidence might by short circuit or terrorism or jealousy with my college because here is very bad trends that any rival institution or person try for failure of their competitor. 

 Owner of the building Muhabat Khan said that he faced some 10 million loss. Hence Fire brigade of TMA and Chitral Scouts reached on the spot and overcome on fire from spreading in the surrounding. Local people of Balach village also reached timely and they plaid vital role in turning off the fire. Hence due to congested population and narrow ways fire brigade could not reached on the spot and it stand at some distance and quenched  the fire with the help of a long pipe. Tehsil Municipal Officer of Chitral demanded for two more small size fire brigade to reach in such congested area and narrow roads.
