The two polls were conducted by the Miami Herald and the St. Petersburg Times. Both polls reveal that Giuliani only registered with 15 percent of Republican primary voters in Florida. As a result, it puts Giuliani in a tie with Mike Huckabee who had spent little time in Florida.
Both John McCain and Mitt Romney were tied statistically speaking for the top spot in the poll. McCain was at 25 percent while Mitt Romney was at 23 percent.
Giuliani who spoke on CNN’s The Situation Room on Wednesday said that he would win the state next Tuesday. He said that his strategy on focusing on Florida was the right one.
“We are going to win in Florida, then we will be talking about exactly who made the right decisions,” Giuliani said. He added: “That’s really, I am an optimist about the way you govern and an optimist about the way you run a campaign. That’s the way I look at it.”
