The relationship between Givers and Takers is symbiotic. One are compulsive Givers and the Takers thrive on them. Takers : They never refuse or say no to anything given by anyone provided it means something to them. They are mostly dependent on Givers.
Givers : They remain an exploited lot for most of the time of their life. They are anguished, they grumble and complain to their friends but unable to do nothing about it.Giving becomes their compulsive and obsessive behaviour;rather disorder.
Suckers : They go upto the extent of sucking you (blood and wallet) as far as they can and as long as you allow. But they resent being taken for granted.
Spongers : They often pretend to be communist, left or right winged. They make you feel guilty if you don’t offer them hospitality and open up your purse, kitchen, bar and sometimes even comfortable bedding to sleep till morning so that they can pursue their good deeds. If you shut your doors to them, they declare you mean and selfish. They never return hospitality but are always over eager to accept yours. They live a comfortable and stylish life. Some spongers get so habituated to being entertained that they get convinced that it is their birth right as well as fundamental right.Such are members of now defunct princely order, retired senior civil servants who were once in a position to grant favours to others and out of power politicians having confidence and hope of becoming an important minister in the next government. They expect hospitality without anyone expecting them to return it. Alot of spongers can be seen at Embassy parties and large upper class receptions. They guzzle Scotch and swallow fish with an air that they are honouring their hosts.
