God Asks: What Is Wrong With This?

God asks: What is wrong with this?

Crucified Friday,  Resurrected Sunday

Since God and God’s Holy Word in the Holy Bible cannot be in error, there must be something wrong with man’s accounting of the facts. Almighty God is incapable of error, but humans are not.

Unlike God, mankind being human is capable of making mistakes. One such mistake, a very important one man has made, and never taken steps to correct. I will now try to correct it, at least for those who read my writing.

Here Are The Cold Hard Facts:

This may upset some of my readers, but facts are facts and truth is truth.

The Jewish week

Sunset Saturday to sunset Sunday would be day one of the week.

Sunset Sunday to sunset Monday would be day two of the week.

Sunset Monday to sunset Tuesday would be day three of the week.

Sunset Tuesday to sunset Wednesday would be day four of the week.

Sunset Wednesday to sunset Thursday would be day five of the week.

Sunset Thursday to sunset Friday would be day six of the week.

Sunset Friday to sunset Saturday would be day seven and the Hebrew Sabbath.

JONAH 1: 17;

“Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish, three days, and three nights.”

According to Hebrew recording of time, one day, was from sunset to sunset, thus a day would appear to be similar to one day in time as measured by the Jewish people of today too, a 24 hour day, or there about.

I say there about because the timing of the sunset would vary slightly depending upon the time of year, spring, summer, fall, or winter.

MATTHEW: 12: 38-40;

“Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. But, Jesus answered and said to them, An evil adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall be no sign given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Have you ever given any really deep serious thought to what Jesus tells us in this statement about himself and exactly how long he will remain buried before he arises? I personally hadn’t given it much

thought at all until the Holy Spirit nudged me to look at it more closely. So that is exactly what I did.

Christians and Catholics alike have celebrated Jesus death on a Friday and His resurrection on Sunday. The Sunday is closer to the truth, but the day of Our Lord’s crucifixion as we will see shortly is just a little off.

The fact of the matter, the truth of the matter lies in the events themselves and the fact that Jesus does in fact fulfill the scriptures to the letter. In other words, Jesus totally fulfills the three days and three nights.

Therefore, the choosing of “Friday” cannot and is not correct.

He is crucified. He is interred three full days and three full nights according to the scriptures and He is resurrected by God, gives testimony to these facts and after 40 days He ascends to Our Father in Heaven, which is also witnessed.

All of this establishes the Holy Bible as the True Word of Almighty God and not just some novel or story. It verifies every statement made by God to His Prophets, and it verifies proof positive, every statement of faith and belief made through Jesus for the benefit of all who choose to believe in the Christ, the Living Son of God, the Messiah, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

There is a specific time-line established by Jesus in what he says here, and in the recording of Mary Magdelene arriving at the tomb to find the tomb, no longer holding Jesus, but instead an angel present to announce that Jesus was amongst the living, and then seeing Jesus himself walking out of the garden. According to Holy Bible Scripture, Mary arrives early in the morning, possibly around 5:00 a.m. on the first day of the week.

Before we establish the time-line, let us take a look at the facts we know already. First and fore-most we know that:

The Feast of “Passover” started on the (3rd) day of the week which in Hebrew timing in those days would be a Tuesday, which would mean that sometime after sunset Monday, Jesus would eat the Passover Sader with His apostles, sharing the bread and wine.

Therefore Monday evening is when Jesus was also handed over to the Pharisees and brought to Caiaphas to be tried.  This establishes the (3rd) day of the week as the beginning of Jesus suffering and crucifixion.

By the (4th) day Jesus is taken to Pilate for judgment and sentencing. He is scourged and shamed, and then taken to Golgatha to be crucified.

We are further told in Mark’s Gospel the following:

MARK: 15: 25; And it was the (3rd) hour and they crucified him.”  And,

MARK: 15: 33-34; “And when the sixth hour passed was come a darkness over the whole land, until the (9th) hour. And in the (9th) hour Jesus cried with a loud voice E’lo-i Eloi, la ma sa bach tha; which is being interpreted; My God, My God, why has thou forsaken me?

We know that Mary Magdelene arrives on the first day of the week, which in those days, in Hebrew timing would mean she arrived early Sunday morning, or anytime after sunset, Saturday.

MARK: 16: 2; “And very early in the morning, the first day of the week they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.”

We also know that at 3 p.m. Jesus dies and his body is asked for to bury it.

This would mean that sometime between Wednesday and Thursday, before sunset Jesus had to be interred, because according to Hebrew law they were not permitted to do any form of labor during the Sabbath which was near at hand, and they would be forbidden to prepare Jesus or bury him on the Sabbath.

We know that the day he was crucified, was the preparation day before one of the Hebrew Sabbaths, so Jesus had to be buried before sunset, so as not to interfere with the day of celebration.

Sunday would be actually a part of the fourth day from the day of Our Lord’s Crucifixion. We must keep in mind that Jesus himself tells us that he will remain three full days and three full nights.

Therefore Sunday is day (4), which began at sunset Saturday, then,

Saturday is day (3), sunset to sunset.

Day (2) would have to be Friday, sunset to sunset,

Day (1) would be Thursday, sunset to sunset, thus Jesus was actually interred Wednesday afternoon sometime after 3 pm. and before sunset that day.

and we know this because no work could be done on the Sabbath which followed his burial.

This would also establish Wednesday sunset as the first night of Jesus burial.

Like I stated earlier, it matters not the correctness of the naming of the day, but what does matter is the accuracy of the event as recorded and the fact that it in fact fulfills the scripture in the books of Jonah and Matthew and establishes Jesus legitimate claim as the Son of God and our claim as legitimate children of God and joint heirs with Jesus.

By working backwards as we did we now know factually that Jesus was in fact crucified and interred on a Wednesday.

We know this because Jesus has told us that He must and will fulfill scripture to the letter.  We also know that Mary Magdelene according to scripture discovers Jesus grave empty on the first day of the week that being a Sunday according to Hebrew calendar days.

If none of this is factual and truth, then what?
