Poetry from Barbara Kasey Smith’s Corner of the World
A million times…
I feel you near
lending a hand and a listening ear.
I require strength to walk another mile,
times sad and never a smile.
You bring me happiness as I speak to you,
my soul senses peace as you see me through.
A million times…
I feel lonesome and blue,
feeling doubt and lack confidence too.
I feel your nudge as I want to give up;
you wipe my tears and fill my cup.
My steps get wider as I walk in your light;
many times I’m full of delight.
A million times…
I see your guiding light
as I’m in darkness without a fight.
A ray of hope slips in to get me through,
there’s “no” doubt…it had to be you.
Your love and care never lets me down,
I lean on “You God” to keep me calm and sound.
