Srinagar, July 08, (Scoop News)- Governor, N.N. Vohra, Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and Ministers express grief over the road accident on Kokernag-Kishtwar road near Simthan Top in which 9 officials of Sheep Husbandry Department loss their lives.
N.N. Vohra, Governor, has expressed grief on the death of 9 persons in a road accident which occurred today at Kamrazi Morh, near Sinthan on Kishtwar-Anantnag Highway. The Governor has conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.
A Spokesman of the Raj Bhavan disclosed that the Governor has expressed regret and deep anguish that while over a thousand innocent persons lose their lives in recurring road accidents every year, the concerned authorities have still to implement strict tangible measures to remedy the situation.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has expressed deep grief over the road accident on Kokernag-Kishtwar road near Simthan Top in which 9 officials of Sheep Husbandry Department loss their lives.
The Chief Minister in his condolence message to the bereaved family and the department conveyed his solidarity and sympathy and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
The Chief Minister also announced Rs. One lakh each for the deceased in the accident.
Speaker, Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul and the Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra have expressed deep grief over the road accident on Kokernag-Kishtwar road near Simthan Top in which 9 officials of Sheep Husbandry Department have lost their lives.
In their condolence messages to the bereaved family and the department, they conveyed their heartfelt sympathy and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
The Council of Ministers has expressed anguish and deep sorrow over the road accident at Simthan Top today in which nine officials of Animal Husbandry department lost their precious life.

Minister of State for Animal and Sheep Husbandry Nazir Ahmad Gurezi has expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives of officers and officials of Sheep Husbandry Department in road accident which occurred on Kokernag-Kishtwar road near Simthan Top this morning.
The ill-fated departmental vehicle of Sheep Husbandry Department, Kishtwar, in which the District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Kishtawar Dr. Rafiq Ahmad Akhoon and Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Dr. Aamir of Chatroo, Kishtwar along with other staff members were on way to Simthan to attend an awareness camp being organized by the department, fell turtle in which 9 persons including the Doctors were killed.
In a condolence message, Gurezi expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls. He said that the killing of the staff members of the department has created a vacuum which cannot be filled for a long time.
Minister of State for Home, Industries and Commerce, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo has expressed deep shock and grief over the tragic accident in which 9 officials of Sheep Husbandry Department lost their precious lives. The tragic road accident occurred near “Karazi Morh” at Simthan Top Tuesday morning.
On receiving the tragic news, Kichloo immediately rushed to the spot. He also visited Kishtwar and expressed his sympathies and solidarity with the bereaved families.
The deceased employees of Sheep Husbandry Department, Kishtwar, include District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dr. Rafiq Ahmad Akhoon, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Shatroo, Dr. Aamir and employees Irshad Ahmad, Ahmadullah, Rehman Rishi, Ghulum Nabi, Romesh Kumar and Sat Lal.
The employees were going to attend a medical camp at Simthan Top from Kishtwar when the unfortunate and tragic accident happened.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Revenue, Relief & Rehabilitation, Ajaz Ahmad Khan, Minister of State for Fisheries, Cooperative, Printing & Stationery and Elections, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, Science & Technology and Information Technology, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Minister of State for Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi and Minister of State for Technical Education, Vikar Rasool Wani have also expressed their condolence over the tragic incident.
