Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shebaz Sharif and his brother Mian Nawaz Sharif are declared disqualified on Wednesday by Supreme of Pakistan for holding any public office, President Asif Ali Zardari has imposed governor rule in the province for next two months. Information Minister Sheri Rehman has reportedly said that Punjab Chief Minister and his brother were disqualified by the apex court and President Zardari has imposed governor rule in Punjab to fill the vacuum create by disqualification of sitting Punjab Chief Minister.
Clash Between PPPP and PML (N) workers in Multan was reported on a private TV channel in Pakistan, Multan is native city of Prime Minister Gailani, clash between workers was of meager intensity and till the filing of this report protesting small crowd in Multan is staging sit in. Another protest rally in Rawalpindi was ended peacefully on Saturday, violent protest demonstrations were witnessed in different parts of Punjab after Supreme Court decisions regarding disqualification of ex Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shehbaz Sharif.
Meanwhile federal cabinet had approved imposition of Governor Raj in Punjab, cabinet meeting was headed by Prime Minister Gailani. Mian Shebaz Sharif and Mian Nawaz Sharif are blaming president Asif Ali Zardari for their disqualification through Supreme Court decision, while President Zardari has reportedly said that if both the brothers would have called upon him, some way out could have been sorted out. PPPP leadership has reportedly denied any involvement in disqualification proceedings against Mian brothers and had said that it is a purely Supreme Court’s decision.
