Govt aims to develop backward areas in NWFP-Minister

NWFP Minister for Social Welfare & Women Development, Sitara Ayaz has said that Development of backward areas like district Swabi is the aim of the provincial govt and for this purpose different development

schemes will be started soon in the area.

This she stated while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Salim Khan Jadid Kaley Road Swabi.

Minister for Zakat & Ushr Haji Zarshed Khan Advocate, member’s provincial assembly Sikandar Irfan, Sarfaraz Khan, ANP Senior member of District Swabi Rehmanullah, Karim Babak, DCO Swabi and other concerned officials were also present on the occasion.

This road has been completed by the Water and Sanitation Department District Swabi and the dwellers of Saleem Khan Kaley would benefit from the road.

NWFP Minister further said that the land of Swabi district is suitable for agriculture and Tobacco, Maize, wheat  adding that proper utilization of the land would have positive results on the lives of people of Swabi.

NWFP Minister for Social Welfare Sitara Ayaz disclosed that a pilot project to train youth of Swabi District will be initiated soon under which 100 male and 100 female of the District would be impart technical training  in different fields.

She said that a project for Beautification of Swabi District was also under consideration.

Provincial Minister for Ushr and Zakat, Haji Zarshed Khan also spoke on the occasion and informed that Boys High School Salim Khan will be upgraded to higher secondary level while Girls Middle School of the area would be elevated to the status of High School.

He disclosed that an Agriculture Research Center would also be established in the District.
