Minister Omar Abdullah’s statement as irresponsible, Bharatiya Janata Yuva
Morcha (BJYM) State president Munish Sharma has made it clear that no one can
stop them to hoist tri-colour at Lal Chowk. It is the government who is trying
to create chaos and confusion among the masses in the state. Every citizen of
the country has right to hoist tri-colour at any place and BJYM activists from
all parts of the country too will hoist tri-colour in peaceful manner at Lal
Chowk on 26 January.
Addressing press conference at
Party Headquarters on Thursday, Munish Sharma said that Central leadership has
already decided this programme and the state unit will follow this programme
with active participation of state unit. On 24th January, this “Rashtriya Ekta
Yatra” will reach at Lakahanpur after covering 14 states and a distance of more
than 30,000 kilometers. At Lakhanpur, a grand and warm reception will be
accorded while receiving this Yatra amid beats of drums and band. At
Dayalachak, Bari-Brahmana, Yatra will be received with same respect. On
reaching at Satwari, Yatra will be received with grand pomp and show with
performing of Aarti. Yatra will stay at Jammu on same night and on 25th of
January a big rally will be organized at Jammu, thereafter, Yatra will proceed
towards Kashmir for futher programmes.
On 26th BJYM activists will
hoist tricolour at Lal Chowk and pay homage to martyrs of Kashmir Brigadier
Rajinder Singh and Maqbool Sherwani at Uri and Baramulla. BJYM activists will
also honour the family of Maqbool Sherwani on this occasion. Munish Sharma
advised Omar Abdullah not to give irresponsible statements on behest of
separatists, that if BJYM comes to valley to hoists tricolour, any untoward
incident may happen in the Kashmir and create law and order problem. He said
that Omar Govt has failed to maintained law and order problem in last few
months and now the CM is trying to give excuses on security related matters. If
he can’t maintain law and order in Kashmir valley, it’s better for him to step
down from the post of Chief Minister. He blamed the Govt and opined that Govt
it self may disturb the yatra by erecting hurdles to seek sympathy of a handful
of separatists and anti-national elements. BJYM National Executive Member Aseem
Gupta, Vice-president Sanjay Baru, State General Secretaries Parimoksh Seth and
Adarsh Bhagat and Treasurer Ajay Vaid were also present on the occasion.
