“It was an honor to represent and showcase the work of the men and women of GPO when presenting this publication to President Obama,” said Public Printer Bill Boarman. “GPO, NARA, and OFR did a tremendous job working together in producing this important publication for the President and the American people in electronic and tangible formats.”
“NARA and OFR staffs are very excited to deliver and complete the very first volume of President Obama’s papers,” said Archivist David Ferriero. “These papers are another way for the American public to keep track of their President, government, and relive some of the high points of the first year of Barack Obama’s presidency.”
The Public Papers of the Presidents series includes volumes documenting the administrations of Presidents Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower to Obama. The publication is edited and annotated by OFR and is the authoritative record of Presidents used by scholars, researchers, and the public.
