Green Bay Wisconsin. The Green Bay Packers will not have the services of nose tackle B J Raji, 28, during the 2014 regular football season.
On Friday night during the third preseason game Raji suffered a tear on his right bicep muscle during the Packers 31-21 win over the Oakland Raiders in a game played at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
Raji has played his entire career in the National Football League since he made his debut in 2009. Raji was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 2009 National Football League. Raji played his college football at Boston College.
Raji will be a free agent at the end of the 2014 football season. Raji had signed a one year, $4 million contract with the Packers. The Packers have two players on their current roster that can try out for the team at nose tackle. They are Josh Boyd and rookie Mike Pennel.
The Packers can go by the free agent route and try out a player to replace Raji as their nose tackle. The other option the Packers will have is to sign former Green Bay Packer players to replace Raji at the nose tackle position this football season.
The Packers will open the 2014 regular football season on September 4, 2014 on the road versus the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
