Green Bay Wisconsin. The Green Bay Packers on Friday reported second year running back Eddie Lacy, 24, has a concussion injury. Lacy was injured when he collided with Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor in the fourth quarter in the Packers week one loss to the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night by a final score of 36-16 at CenturyLink Field in Seattle Washington.
The Packers next football game will be played at Lambeau Field in Green Bay on Sunday September 14, 2014 versus the New York Jets in week two of the 2014 regular football season schedule for both teams.
If Lacy is unable to play for the Packers in nine days, he will be replaced by fifth player running back James Starks, 28. Lacy is one of the most valuable players on the Packers football team.
The Packers also report right tackle Bryan Bulaga, 25, suffered an injury to his left knee in the loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night. Bulaga is expected to be back in the starting lineup of the Packers in about two or four weeks. Derrek Sherrod replaced Bulaga during the football game.
The Packers are the defending National Football Conference North Division champions. The Packers are hoping that the injuries to Lacy and Bulaga will not keep them out of the lineup for a long period of time since the value to their football team is priceless.
Lacy will be only be able to play football for the Packers when an independent neurologist given him the green light to resume his football career. The Packers will overcome their first loss of the 2014 football season when they host the Jets in nine days.
