Grenade attack on mosque leaves 20 worshipers wounded: DCO

DI KHAN, Mar 5 :- At least 20 persons sustained injuries in bomb blast in Ameer Hamza Khan mosque near Nazim Gate in DI Khan district on Friday evening, DCO Mohsin Shah said.
            He told APP by phone that unknown miscreants hurled a hand grenade inside the Ahl- Sunnat mosque Ameer Hamza Khan where people were offering ‘Magrib’ prayer. The hand grenade landed between the worshipers and went off with a big bang, injuring 20 on the spot, he informed. He said the condition of four people were stated to be critical.
The injured were rushed to district headquarters hospital for treatment. Emergency has been imposed in hospital and doctors on leave has been called in for duty. The cantonment police rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.
