GroundReport will be offline on July 7, 2015 from 7AM CDT to 3PM CDT to upgrade the web site to a new look and responsive design. This re-design is the work of volunteers, especially Bruce Fischer, who donated their time and effort to modernize GroundReport. The web site will incorporate a new design that works better on mobile devices.
GroundReport has changed its legal structure. The web site is now a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) corporation. Donations to GroundReport are now tax deductible in the United States.
GroundReport continues to be dedicated to free speech and open content. As the media industry consolidates around fewer and fewer outlets, it is important to have web sites that are open to all student, apprentice, citizen and professional journalists. GroundReport acts as an easy-to-use platform for publishing for news and opinion. It provides the citizen journalist with a way to be visible on the wider Internet.
GroundReport will continue to innovate. The organization is always looking for champions in schools, colleges and universities who want to use the platform as a learning laboratory in new media. Join the GroundReport community and spread freedom and peace.
