While the agitating Gujjars have decided to go ahead with postmortems and cremations of those killed in police firing, they are keeping the pressure on the government by jamming rail and road traffic.
The agitation continues to affect thousands of train travellers across north India. Nearly 40 trains are affected for the second straight day. Gujjar protesters, mainly women, have been sitting on the rail tracks since Tuesday, bringing rail traffic to a stop in and around Rajasthan.
On Tuesday more than 50,000 passengers were affected and reports suggest the situation is unlikely to improve on Wednesday.
