Jammu,April 7 (Scoop News)- Demanding forcefully that Scheduled Tribes should be excluded from the bill aimed at to ban inter district recruitment in the state ,the leaders of Jammu Kashmir Khana Badosh Gujjar Tehrek-e-Insaf today warned the government of serious repercussions if the bill is passed in present form on 9th of this month.
Addressing a Press Conference the State President of Gujjar Tehreek Insaf Ch Mohammad Aslam Kohli today said that Gujjars of the State will forcefully opposed the controversial bill moved by the government banning state level recruitment in government jobs for STs.
He threaten will launch a series of protests against the bill if the STs would not excluded like SCs adding that banning of enter district recruitment will harm the interests of Gujjars of Jammu region in general.
He said the employment is the only source of their livelihood added that like other sections of society, they don’t have any business or the sufficient agricultural resources for their survival.
He further said that we demand that the present system of recruitment to continue or STs should be kept out of this bills preview. He asked all 12 tribal communities to unite against this anti-reservation bill.
The speakers also made an appeal to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah ,Chief Minister of the State to sought his favour to bring to an end to this anti tribal bill.He further appealed their communities members to be united for the cause and would not let down their struggle till they not accorded constitutional rights meant for them.

The protest demonstration was jointly organized by J&K Tribal United Front, All India SC/ST Confederation and J&K Gujjar Bakerwal Student Federation. While addressing the protest really the community leaders stated that they will launch a crusade against the bill adding that the banning of inter district recruitment would elbow out the Gujjars in over all competition of employments.
They said in past 60 years, in Kashmir valley and some districts of Jammu region, thousand of vacancies were de-reserved due to non availability of eligible ST candidate but with opening of inter district recruitment by order of supreme court for the last two years our ST candidates had been applying everywhere in the State and around 2000 Gujjars got jobs under ST category but now the anti-reservation forces are bent upon to grab our rights by introducing banning inter district recruitment for STs which is unlawful and against constitutional safeguards.
