Gujjars leader Bainsla to float his own political party

The Gujjars who are currently agitating in Rajasthan demanding that Gujjars be declared as Scheduled Tribe community, are led by their powerful leader Col.Kirori Singh Bainsla, the former Indian Army staff.

Realising the scant respect shown towards the Gujjars’ demand both by the State and Central Governments, Col.Kirori Singh Bainsla has decided to float his own political party since he feels both the BJP and the Congress have cheated his largely shepherd community.

Mr.Bainsla also said that they have been always cheated by all the political parties over the issue of reservation.The Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has cheated the Gujjars at least three times. Likewise, the Congress I has also made only false promises.

Col.Bainsla, the head of Gujjar Arakshan Sangarsh Samiti (pro-reservation movement) said in an interview:‘Floating a political party in the midst of the agitation would be immature.But it is in the back of my mind and we will definitely have our own party once we get the tribal status.’

Seventy year old Bainsla had served in the Rajputana Rifles, when he was in service in the army.
