Expressing serious concern over the discrepancies by Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) in recruitment of constables held recently, Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha (ABGM) President, Ishfaq-Ul-Rehman Poshwal warned government of agitation if issues pertaining to ST, SC community are not addressed with immediate effect.
Poshwal while giving details informed that out of 316 candidates in Srinagar 31 candidates of ST community should have been recruited but only 3 were appointed which is gross violation of SRO. Similarly, in Budgam only 7 out of 170, in Baramullah only 12 out of 228, in Pulwama only 5 out of 132 follows similar yard stick in other all districts.
Citing gross violation Ministry of Rural Development in guide lines recommended by Government of India in allotment and implementation of IAY and NREGA in state, Poshwal informed that out of 60 percent recommended quota STs are being ignored. He said that purpose of IYA has been transformed in political game to appease blue eyed.
Suggesting constituting, Tribal Ministry to avoided slaughter of Gujjars and proper implementation and distribution of constitutional rights to masses, Poshwal urged upon the Chief Minister to look into matter favorably as soon as possible so that loosing faith of community in dispensation will be saved. He threatened to come down to roads and streets if issues not addressed soon.
