Jammu, January 22 (Scoop News) –Saying that peace and normalcy is imperative for equitable development of all the three regions of State, Advisor to Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul, has termed the plans of BJP on flag hoisting as unfortunate adding that the party is hell bent upon to disrupt the peace and normalcy in the State which, he said, has been brought under control after facing tremendous difficulties.

Gul said that national flag is being unfurled with full honour and respect all over the State even at block and tehsil level and the Central Government functionaries like Doordarshan, Radio Stations, AG’s Office, Railway station, SBI, PNB and other vital installation are also hoisting national flag with fervor and gaiety while as army and security forces after hoisting national flag on Republic Day are organizing several functions and weeklong programmes.
He questioned BJP leaders to clarify whether official functions of flag hoisting ceremonies with full respect and honour in Jammu and Kashmir are irrelevant and flag hoisting by a particular party is patriotic’.
He further said that the divisive politics of BJP is detrimental to the interest of the country and said that secular forces like National Conference and Congress will not allow the BJP to carry forward its nefarious designs to disturb peace and harmony in Jammu & Kashmir. He said when the state government headed by Omar Abdullah is working towards bringing normalcy in the state there are certain political elements who for their own vested interests and vote bank politics are trying to disturb the peace for cheap publicity.

Rejecting attempts of BJP to divide society in the name of region, religion, creed and caste for vote bank politics, the Advisor said that all such attempts would not succeeded as the people are wise enough to read between the lines. He said that such attempts needed to be foiled jointly by the people by exhibiting their earnest faith in the secular democratic principles.
Urging people to be vigilant against divisive forces, Gul said nobody would be allowed to divide the State on communal and regional lines, adding that there is urgent need to cement the amity bonds between various regions and sections of people in the State.
He appealed to maintain peace and amity and not get carried away by such insidious agenda which the BJP has adopted to befool the people of the State.
