Jammu, January 31 (Scoop News) – Advisor to Chief Minster, Mubarak Gul, has stressed for spreading the Gandhian message of peace, harmony and brotherhood adding that Gandhain philosophy has more relevance in the present day world wrought with hatred and intolerance.

Referring to the unemployment problem, the Advisor said that the state government has launched a comprehensive policy Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for Youth (SKEWP) to address this problem. He said the programme has great scope and potential to benefit the youth across the state, including those living in far-flung and remote areas.
Gul said SKEWPY is the first serious effort towards holistic solution of the burgeoning un-employment problem adding that implementation of the programme, which was launched in April 2010, is moving satisfactorily and in a right direction. He said for the first time, a concrete data-base of the un-employed youth has been created through concerned district employment and counseling centres across the state.
He said that since the launching of the Programme 16302 eligible unemployed youth have been identified and benefitted under Voluntary Service Allowance (VSA) for which a whopping amount of rupees 9 crore have been paid to them so far.
