In a meeting this afternoon the GOC XV Corps, Lieutenant General Subrata Saha briefed N.N. Vohra, Governor, Jammu and Kashmir about the rescue and relief measures so far taken by the army on its own, and with IAF’s support, to meet the enormous challenge posed by the flood disaster in J&K. Thereafter, along with Lieutenant General Saha, the Governor undertook an aerial reconnaissance of the entire town and surrounding areas. The Governor had undertaken a similar survey last week. The Governor is receiving daily reports about the relief measures currently underway.
