Part-2
1.Discrimination at Home between Genders:
In many countries, we can still observe discrimination between son and daughter at home where sons get more attention and facilities than daughters in the case of education, property right, freedom in decision making, self-improvement, career and other opportunities.
Women are and have always been the objects of men’s fantasies and obsessions, the victims of their perversions and violence which start from the discrimination at home.We live in a male dominated family at the whim of men.Younger brothers become the guardians of older sisters because they are male.
For the negligence of female children, a large percentage of female in many countries is facing lack of nutrition.
2.Force towards sex-determination test and blame for a female child:
Till now in many countries, a pregnant woman is forced to have a sex-determination test whether the baby will be male or female. Not only this, her husband and in laws blame her for the birth of more female children instead of male ones and call her ‘a cursed woman’.
3.Curse of infertility:
In many societies, the curse of infertility attacks the woman with no doubt about the fertility of her husband. To produce a child, both man and woman have role. But when a couple is unable to produce a baby, the society blames the woman for her inability to produce a child without an examination of both a man and a woman in this case.In many cases, a man doesn’t want to go to a doctor to test his effectiveness becuase of his superiority.Besides he may pronounces ‘talak (a bengali word of divorce)’ for 3 times for breaking the ethics of marriage.
