Hazel was asked to strip

Her father is British and her Grand Father was an Indian. U.K splendor Hazel made her Bollywood entrance with Mp3 (Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar). However she had an insalubrious acquaintance during her initial days in Mumbai.

Few years before, Hazel just entered Indian Film Industry when she played an extra in Feroz Khan’s movie Janasheen. After that, while she strove to get an appropriate role in a Bollywood flick, she dabbled in modeling and appeared in television commercials for Ponds, Sunsilk, Nokia and Lays.

Through her struggling days, Hazel came across the villainous ‘casting couch’ experience when she got a filthy offer from a filmmaker. Hazel has exposed this in an interview to a website.

The filmmaker, whom Hazel is reluctant to name, supposedly gave her the offer of a movie in which she was to play a supermodel. Hazel was a bit confused by the proposal because she is not tall enough to play a supermodel.

Later, through the audition, the director told her that the starting scene of the film would show Hazel stepping out of a swimming pool in a bikini. He asked Hazel to wear a bikini. But Hazel did not have the swimming costume with her. So the director straightaway asked her to strip because he required seeing how she looked in her undergarments.

Hazel was stunned by the director’s demand and went out of the audition.

After that, Hazel says she was on her guard while impending other filmmakers for work. Although then her auspicious break came with Robby Grewal’s Film Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar in which she played an NRI who comes to India and falls in love with a boy in her school. The film released on June 8th 07 and did well too.
