Leh, April 27 (Scoop News) -In a brief ceremony, Gail Mc Allister of Himalayan Children Trust UK today handed over two washing machines and other hygiene related products for the Nomadic Residential School, Puga Changthang to CEC LAHDC Rigzin Spalbar.
Expressing gratitude to Himalayan Children Trust UK, Spalbar appreciated their humanitarian gesture and noble contribution towards the nomadic children of Changthang who are studying in this Centralized Residential School.
Affirming the deserving need of the nomadic children because of their tough and deplorable living condition, Spalbar stressed on giving every facility to these children and highly praised the sincere and dedicated services of the present staff of NRS Puga headed by the Headmaster Phuntsog Wangchuk who are putting their best possible effort in providing these children with basic education and health facilities within limited resources. The constant demand of the nomadic population for the same teaching staff time and again speaks clear of the honest delivery of their services and on the basis of popular demands from the nomads, LAHDC has extended the service tenure of Headmaster and few other dedicated staff , the CEC quipped.
On this occasion, Gail Mc Allister of Himalayan Children Trust UK, Headmaster, NRS Puga and Rinchen Dolkar, Executive & Governing Body Member, J&K State Social Welfare Board also spoke.
