HDFC Bank opens rural branches in Pathwal and Reasi, J&K

Jammu, May 06 (Scoop News)- HDFC Bank Ltd has opened rural branches in Pathwal and Reasi, thus expanding its network to 67 branches in Jammu & Kashmir. The new branches will offer the full range of world-class banking solutions to meet the needs of the local populace.

Pathwal is the Bank’s second branch in Kathua district. The proximity of the branch to the Dayalachak, Hiranagar, Chadwal and Jandi will also enable it to reach out to residents of these villages. The branch will support the local economy by funding rice mills, businesses, in addition to providing a comprehensive range of retail products and services to individuals.

The rural branch in Reasi is the Bank’s second in Reasi District. The Bank set up its first branch in Reasi in July 2011.The new branches in Pathwal and Reasi were inaugurated by Mr. Zubair Iqbal in the presence of local dignitaries and senior bank officials, including Sachin Mahajan, Cluster Head and Kunal Kak, Cluster Head. The branches will remain open six days a week.

The branch in Pathwal is located at VPO Dayalachak, Pathwal Link Road, Tehsil Hiranagar District Kathua, Pin – 184144. It can be reached on 9419268789. Mr Ashok Kumar is the Branch Manager at Pathwal. The branch in Reasi is located at Municipal Shopping Complex, Ist Floor, Adjacent SBI Bus Stand, Reasi, Pin – 182311. It can be reached on 9596776697. Mr Varun Abrol is the Branch Manager at Reasi.

The branch opening in Pathwal and Reasi comes close on the heels of the Bank’s recent branch launch in Bandipora district of the state.As of March 31, 2014, the Bank had a distribution network with 3,403 branches and 11,256 ATMs in 2,171 cities/towns. At a national level, the Bank has 55% of its branches in semi-urban and rural areas and is continuously extending its reach in the hinterland in its endeavour to support inclusive growth.

The new branches will offer customers world-class banking services under one roof ranging from basic services such as Savings Account, Fixed Deposits, Current Account, Mutual Funds, Insurance, Two-wheeler loan, Auto loan, Kisan Gold Card to sophisticated direct access banking channels such as ATM, PhoneBanking, NetBanking and International Credit and Debit Cards.
