Finishing fourth in the Monaco GP has given Australian Formula One Driver Mark Webber five point scoring races in a row for far this year.
He is consequently 7th in the individual drivers’ standings, 15 points equal with Heikki Kovalainen
Finland’s Kimi Raikkonen, England’s Lewis Hamilton and Brazil’s Felipe Massa lead at first, second and third respectively.
Webber qualified ninth on the starting grid, with a drama-packed race in the wet.
He kept out of trouble and had his eyes set on finishing,
“I opened the curtains to a wet track on Sunday; we knew that patience was going to be a very important factor for the race and the driver who made the least mistakes would generally benefit. I was determined to get to the finish without any problems and to keep the car in one piece"
A vision that this year is now becoming more true in his career to date.
Yes, intruding once again, I cannot help but express excitement for Webber.
I had high hopes and well, he exceeded them again.
Heavily optimistic I am now, believing that the talented Australian Formula One driver can get another chance of a podium finish, but perhaps, exceed his personal best, and finish second or even first.
Reliability issues with his team, Red Bull Racing, are slowly beginning to become a past trait.
The next few rounds will confirm this.
This weekend is the Canadian Grand Prix in Canada, June 8.
