Health benefits of water
By Emmanuel Udom
Water is a universal solvent or liquid. It exists everywhere in the ocean, lake, river, spring, pond under the ground etc.
Scientists said that water accounts for about 80% of the earth crust. Simple observations could confirm this as true.
Beyond this preamble however, we as human beings use water for various purposes. We drink, wash, clean, carry out laboratory experiments and take our bath with water.
Like the earth crust, 70% of human body is also made up of water. This means that we need to drink water everyday, so that all the organs in our body function to optimum capacity.
But, there is something I want to share with you here. If you make it a point of duty to drink certain glasses of water at certain times during the day, it has beneficial effects on your health.
What do I mean? When you wake up at about 6a.m, take two glasses of clean, clear water. Remember, pure water is odorless, colorless, boils at 100 degree centigrade and freezes at 0 degree centigrade.
Drinking water early in the morning will clean up your internal body systems, detoxify your organs and ensure that some minor ailments like malaria are kept at bay.
Twenty minutes before taking your breakfast, do the same thing and drink some glasses of water, accompanied with deep breathing. It will oxygenate your entire organs, force out the stale air from your system and leave you energized and ready for the business of the day.
Therefore, in a whole day, make it a point of duty to drink, say 7 to 8 glasses of water, accompanied with deep breathing for about two weeks and see the positive difference it could make on your health.
Medical scientists have proven that drinking water frequently will reduce your blood pressure, flush your internal organs, and reduce your likelihood of having malaria, hypertension, diabetics and stroke, among other ailments.
