HEART CARE TIPS – SAVE YOURSELF FROM FUTURE HEART ATTACKS
Today’s fast life, shattered life style and tension adversely affects our heart. Heart
diseases are the fastest increasing diseases in the world at an alarming rate. So in
order to save ourselves from these, we should follow the following tips :
Monitor heart rate : Every gym have a heart monitor. The formula given below should
be adopted to balance and optimize your heart rate—Subtract your age from 220. Write
down the result figure. Make sure that this figure is maintained to an extent of atleast
80-85 percent for 20 minutes.
Good sleep ; We often cut down our food intake due to health reasons or work stress
concerns. This is harmful. But cutting down the period of sleep is much more
dangerous. Improper sleep cannot refresh our body. The release of stress hopmones
increases due to sleeplessness which may damage heart.
Sweat is a must : A lot of people pas their whole day sitting before the computer. We
should do aerobics for at least five times totaling 35 minutes a day, at the least. Warm
ups and cool downs must be included.
Stress and Tension is fatal : Doctors had been warning us about the adverse effects
of stress to heart since decades. Cholesterol deposits increase due to stress and hence
blood pressure also increases. So try to avoid un-necessary stress.
Be happy : Try to be happy and laughing as much as you can. Switch off your cell
phone when you are out for a picnic so that no one disrupts your happy moments with
family, kids, parents or friends.
Stop using tobacco : Nicotine not only increases heart rate and adversely affects our
health but it also leads to dependency and addiction. It also damages blood vessels.
Eat balanced food : Proper and balanced diet is extremely important to protect your
heart.
White bread : Minimize the use of white bread. It is nothing but sugar. Avoid sweets.
You can have a toffee or a candy a day. Instead use cereals, rice and wheat products.
Stay away : Stay away from junk food and carbonated artificially flavored cold drinks.
