Manmohan Singh, India’s 76–year-old Prime Minister, underwent unsheduled medical tests today to check for heart-related problems, rasing concerns about his health in the run-up to a general election problems, rasing concerns about his health in the rum-up to a general elaction due by May.

The Press trust of India (PTI) reported that Dr.Singh,who underwent a heart bypass in B ritain several years ago ,had complained of chest pains and that tests including an angiography had revealed blockages in his heart.

An angiography usually involves injecting the blood vessels with a liquid agent that shows up in an X-ray , providing an image of the heart veins and arteries
