Heritage Business School Sweeps Three Category Awards At NEN E-Week

20th February to 27th February 2016 was a busy week at Heritage Business School because of the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) that held the Entrepreneurship Week 2016 within the campus. Heritage Business School had extremely good and tough competition from reputed institutions like Adamas International School, Calcutta Business School, Globsyn Business School, Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Institute of Engineering and Management, Shri Shikshayatan College and University of Engineering and Management in the eastern region. Negating the competition, Heritage Business School won three of the main awards that were, Highest Impact Institute Award, E-Week Champion Award and E-Week Premier Impact Award – Star Faculty – awarded to Dr. Rimu Chaudhuri.

Heritage Business School Win In Their Own Turf

On 5th March 2016, Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, inside the Heritage Business School was a witness to the rewarding of the students for their relentless hard work. It was the day of the 9th NEN E-Week Grand Finale 2016. The start of the event was inspiring in itself because Shri H. P. Budhia, Chairman, Patton Industries and Chairman, Heritage Business School gave the opening speech. The event also saw the volunteers getting recognized and rewarded that made the occasion an even bigger success. 12 enterprising student volunteers were called on the dias and presented with a book as a token of appreciation.

The first day of E-Week 2016 got inaugurated by the Dean of the institute Prof. Malay Banerjee who also took a tour of the facilities that were made available. The students played the role of the hosts for the day and they did it without a single glitch. The guests of the opening day inaugural ceremony were Mr. Abhishek Rungta, CEO, Indusnet Technologies and Mr. Nitesh Sood, an ex-student of Heritage Business School. The enthusiastic students gave some presentations that gave wing to their future entrepreneurial plans. The presentations were judged by a panelist where their ideas and talents got recognized.

The stalls put up by the students encompassed a variety of things like books, beauty, handicraft and food that was a proof of their enthusiasm and excitement. The students were encouraged in every endeavor and supported at every step by their Dean.  The students also got the opportunity to meet personalities like Ms. Chumki Chatterjee, Patrabharati Publications, Ms. Shimanti Das, Managing Trustee of Schools of the World, Kolkata, Mr. Aman from Bangladesh – Film Artist and renowned entrepreneur, Ms. Sharbari Datta, fashion designer and Ms. Reshmi Chatterjee, Curator, Halo Heritage. They actively interacted with the students and gave them some practical tips leading to success.

The fact that Heritage Business School won the awards was not the only great thing. Rather, the fact that they won the award after beating 3500 academic institutes encompassing 45 cities, 1500 events and 8 lakh participants was the best thing. Moreover, all the institutes that make up the Heritage group had participated in the NEN week and had 45 entrepreneurial ideas in all.
