Anti tobacco squad realises fine of Rs 6150 from 48 offenders

          Anti tobacco squad of Drug & Food Control Organisation raided various Government offices, Hospitals and vicinities of schools and caught 48 persons smoking in public. A fine of Rs 6,150 was recovered from them. The squad was headed by Shabir Ahmed Lone Food Safety Officer. The places inspected include SKIMS, University of Kashmir, SKUAST, Sericulture Deptt, Labour Commissioner’s office, CD Hospital, Woodland school, Biscoe School, Burn hall school, Convent Hr Secondary, Polytechnic Gogjibagh, Amar Singh College, College of Education, Degree College, Bemina, New Era School, Hr Secondary School Rajbagh.

Registrar University of Kashmir, Director SKUAST and Medial Superintendent SKIMS have appreciated the squad for the initiative.  

 Srinagar, (Scoop News) –   On the basis of information received from SASE a high danger avalanche warning has been issued for Gurez and medium danger avalanche warning for Keran, Chowkibal, Tangdar, Machhil. People living in these snow bound areas have been advised to take precautionary measures and desist from going in avalanche prone areas. The warning is valid for the next 24 hours.
