High level BJP team visits border people camps

Jammu, October 10, (Scoop News)- A high level team of BJP led by BJP State President & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and comprising of State Election Campaign Committee Chairman Dr. Nirmal Singh, National Executive Member Shamsher Singh Manhas, State Vice-President Chander Prakash Ganga, State General Secretaries Kavinder Gupta and Bali Bhagat, State Spokespersons Farooq Khan and Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra, State Publicity Secretary Pramodh Kapahi, Ex-Servicemen Cell Convenor Brig. Anil Gupta, MLAs—Bharat Bhushan, Sham Choudhary, Durga Dass and Ashwani Sharma, Mahila Morcha State President Priya Sethi, Kissan Morcha State President Karan Singh and others visited Higher Secondary Schools at Domana and Pargwal, Middle School Pargwal, ITI College R.S. Pura, Flora Village, Rial village, Nandpur, Vijaypur, Samba, Madeen where the people from border areas are putting.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while expressing shock over such massive migration and sympathies with the people living in these camps, said that Pakistan has been repeatedly violating the ceasefire and indulging in unprovoked firing and shellings on civilian population living on borders and causing deaths and destruction. Precious lives are lost, women, children receive injuries, live stock also die, crops get damaged and the people are forced to leave their homes. He said that the party stands with these people and told that the party has approached the Prime Minister with few proposals for the border people and appealed to take action for the benefit of the suffering people. He assured each affected family of party’s full support in their relief and early return to their native villages.
Dr. Nirmal Singh said that thousands of people have become homeless and migrants in their own home state due to the firing by Pakistan. These people are passing nights under open skies as they have left their homes to escape firing. He said that these camps are not any permanent solution and the government should compensate them, provide them all the essential commodities, including drinking water, electricity, medicines, toilets etc. Singh further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s yesterday statement clearly indicated that Central Govt. is serious over the issue of ceasefire violations and cross border firing and Govt. is also giving free hand to security forces to give befitted reply to Pakistan.
Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the unfortunate border people suffered on account of rains and floods, then they suffered due to recent winds and firing by Pakistan too have added to their woes and the government should adopt a human approach towards them and come forward to help them while they are living in camps.
Farooq Khan said that politics over the issue of ceasefire violation and cross border firing is unfortunate and leaders should desist from making politics over the issue. ‘As far as Central Govt is concerned over the ceasefire violations, all possible strong steps has been taken by the Govt to teach Pakistan a lesson’, he added.
Party leaders Daljit Singh, Kashmir Singh, Sat Pal Pappi, Arvind Gupta, Anuradha Charak, Anju Dogra also accompanied the BJP team.
