A sharp increase in crude oil prices in 2008 has led to a sharp rise in the prices of Aviation turbine fuel. This high fuel prices are causing many airline companies to incur heavy operational losses.
India based low cost carrier GoAir is no such exception in incurring heavy losses. GoAir is controlled by the Wadia family group.
GoAir has decided that it will cut down its total monthly flights to 500 from the existing 800. This reduction in monthly flights might comes into effect from 1st August 2008.
