Hillary Clinton Says ‘Enough Talk’

When taking a swing at Obama, Clinton did not name him. She would say: “I have spent my lifetime working to get results for real folks, who need a champion who need a fighter, who need a doer. Enough with the talk. Let’s start with the action, let’s produce results.”

She would spend most of event laying out a stump speech that was well-rehearsed but had broke ranks to make her case as why she would be the best president.

“I have been very specific in this campaign. I know that sometimes it’s exciting to hear a speech that is really powerful and raises your sights, but when the lights are down and the cameras are gone you need to know what I’m going to do, because we need a president who will actually produce results for the American people,” Clinton had explained to the crowd.

She then added: “We have had enough of a president who doesn’t care about the American people, who doesn’t really solve the American people’s problems and puts our country at risk, and that’s why I have been so specific.”

Clinton was then asked if she referred to Obama when she used President George W. Bush as a reference as a president who puts the country at risk. Jay Carson, spokesman for Hillary Clinton’s campaign said she did not refer to Obama.

Carson says that Clinton constantly makes the case that she is the candidate with the strength and experience to manage the economy and being the commander in chief from day one.

In concluding remarks, Clinton also took on McCain. She said that she is the more able candidate to run against him come the general election.

In that regard, Hillary said: “If we’re going to win an election against John McCain, who apparently is going to be their nominee, we need a candidate who can go toe-to-toe with Senator McCain on national security, national defense, homeland security…I believe that I am the best prepared, the best tested and the best vetted to do that.”
